Uncle Albert is a Space Junk Guru (Magazine Studies)
A selection of drawings from the sketch book of 2006. A new set of drawings which were not processed and transformed from previous work. Much of the imagery is largely construction based, on what an imagined 'space junk' could look like if it actually came to 'life'. This is juxtaposed by drawings of famous celebrity 'stars' of stage and television from a bygone era. 1960's generational gurus float and inhabit the same space as the 'junk' around them. Almost biological creatures often have mechanical attachments and sometimes wear 'native funk' fashion garments. Most of the drawings from this book were translated onto the walls of Ramp Gallery in Hamilton for an exhibition titled 'Dear Uncle Albert there are no more gurus left' .
